Made in Walsall
Every piece is cut from a single vegetable-tanned hide and hand saddle-stitched with waxed linen thread. Buy one thing, carry it for a decade.

Our story
We work out of a two-bench workshop in Walsall, the town that has tanned and stitched leather for two centuries. We only use full-grain, vegetable-tanned hides, the top layer of the skin with its natural grain left intact, and we finish every edge by hand. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is glued together to hide a shortcut.

How it works
Each order is cut from a single panel of vegetable-tanned full-grain, so the grain and tone stay consistent across the whole piece.
Two needles, one length of waxed linen thread, worked through every hole by hand. If one stitch fails, the rest hold.
Full-grain darkens and softens as you carry it. Within a year it takes on a patina that is entirely yours.

Customer love
Bought the bifold two years ago and it looks better now than the day it arrived. The stitching has not budged and the leather has gone a deep honey brown.
You can feel that a person made this. The edges are burnished smooth and the brass hardware has real weight to it. Worth every penny.
My tote gets used every single day and shows no sign of giving up. Fenwick answered my questions within hours and even sent a care card. Faultless.
